My research is driven by a commitment to producing practical, evidence-based insights that support police and partner agencies in safeguarding vulnerable people. As such, my work is published with open access wherever possible. I regularly engage with both academic and non-academic audiences to share the findings from my research and broader knowledge in an accessible way, and my work has been cited by key practitioner organisations when engaging with policymakers.

2025 Co-authored a letter with the Coalition for Missing Children to the UK Government
Citing my published research, we requested updates to the statutory guidance on children who run away or go missing which was last updated in 2014
2025 PhD research presentation to the NWG Network
I presented practitioner-relevant findings to representatives of the NWG Network, after which they requested that I present again to a wider group of their colleagues.
2024 PhD research cited in discussions with the Greater London Authority and MOPAC
Representatives from the charity Missing People cited my first study from my PhD as evidence that improving responses to missing children needs to be prioritised to prevent some of the worst outcomes. This was in relation to considerations for the upcoming Police and Crime Plan for London
2024 PhD research presentation to the Coalition for Missing Children
I presented practitioner-relevant findings to the CMC, after which several attendees requested that I present again to their colleagues.
2024 PhD research ‘trending’ in Policing & Society less than a month after publication
The first study from my PhD research, published on 27th March 2024, was ‘trending’ in the top 4 on the Policing & Society website by 22nd April. The study also reached the top 10 ‘most read’ articles published in the last 12 months on the Policing & Society website, and already has five citations.
